  1. Static pages like about us, contact us, privacy policy and sitemap pages don’t need comments and so you need to disable comments.
  2. If any of your blog posts gets older then you can stop comments and just show existing comments.
  3. If you receive too many spam comments then you can disable comments.

How to hide or disable comments on all pages in Blogger

In Blogger you have easy option to enable or disable comments on all pages. If you don’t want anyone to comment on any of your pages including post pages then here you go.

In your Blogger dashboard go to settings >> posts and comments and you will have overall comment settings for Blogger.

How to enable or disable comments on Blogger pages and posts

In comment location you will have four options:

Embedded: This is the default option that appears in all your pages. This options sets comment box below the content.

Full page: In each posts this option will sets a link below which says “post a comment”. This link takes visitors to a separate page to make their comments.

Popup window:  In this option user will be making their comments on popup window.

Hide: This is the option that you needed. By enabling this users cannot make comments on any pages. But existing comments still show up.

While the above method disables comments on all pages, but in this method you can enable or disable comments on particular page or post. The steps to enable or disable comments in Blogger are clear and simpler.

  1. How to enable or disable comments on Blogger pages and postsLogin to you Blogger account and go to you Blogger dashboard
  2. Select pages or posts that you wish to disable or enable comments and click edit
  3. Now you will have your page or post editor.
  4. In the right sidebar you will see page and post settings.
  5. Now click on options and you will see comment settings for that page or post.
  6. Select the suitable option and click done.

Don’t allow, show existing: In feature people cannot make comments on that page or post, but it shows the existing comments

Don’t allow, hide existing: By enabling this option users can never make comments and never see comments.

Once done go and check out your page or post, you have disabled comments. You can follow this step to enable or disable comments on any particular page like your wish.
