Head to your wordpress admin panel
Now move on to settings >> permalink
In custom permalink structure you might be using something like this.

/%category%/%postname%/ or /%postname%/

Remove the trailing slash at the end and add .html or .php. Save your permalink settings and check your site. This setting works only on wordpress posts and not on pages.
